Primary 180-Micron Filtration

 

The outer basket features a 180-micron mesh that acts as the first stage of the ULTRAMARINE P1’s filtration system. It traps larger and medium-sized debris before the cleaning flow passes through the finer inner layer.

 

Captures Everyday Pool Debris

 

The outer filter basket is designed to collect common pool debris such as leaves, twigs, pine needles, insect remains and coarse sand. This helps prevent larger material from circulating back into the pool.

 

Dual-Layer Filtration Compatibility

 

The outer basket works independently for standard debris collection or together with the optional 3-micron inner-layer filter basket.

When both filters are installed, the 180-micron outer basket captures larger debris while the 3-micron inner filter targets fine particles such as pollen and fine sand.

 

Supports 4800GPH UltraPure Suction

 

The filter basket works with the P1’s powerful 4800GPH UltraPure Suction system. Water and debris are drawn into the basket, where the mesh separates collected material from the cleaning flow.

 

Helps Maintain Consistent Water Flow

 

Removing larger debris during the first filtration stage helps reduce excessive loading on the finer inner filter. Keeping the outer basket clean supports unrestricted water flow and reliable suction performance.

 

 

Rigid Framed Construction

 

The structured frame helps the basket retain its shape and fit securely inside the ULTRAMARINE P1. It also provides the support required to hold the optional inner-layer filter in the correct position.

 

Convenient Top-Access Removal

 

The outer basket can be accessed through the P1’s top lid. Its removable design makes it convenient to lift out, empty and rinse without having to dismantle the cleaner.

 

Designed for the ULTRAMARINE P1

 

This replacement basket is designed specifically for the ECOVACS ULTRAMARINE P1 Robotic Pool Cleaner. It is suitable for replacing a worn, cracked, warped or damaged outer filter basket.

 

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

 

1. Switch off the ULTRAMARINE P1 and remove it from the pool.
2. Press the button on the front of the cleaner to open the filter-basket cover.
3. Lift the complete filter-basket assembly out of the cleaner.
4. Remove the 3-micron inner filter if it is installed.
5. Empty all leaves, twigs and other collected debris.
6. Thoroughly rinse the outer basket using clean water.
7. Rinse the inner and outer baskets separately.
8. Check the frame, mesh and securing points for trapped sand or grit.
9. Allow the filter basket to air-dry completely.
10. Refit the inner filter if required and reinstall the complete basket assembly.
11. The filter basket should be emptied and cleaned after every use.

 

WHEN TO REPLACE THE FILTER BASKET

ECOVACS recommends replacing the outer filter basket every three months to support proper operation. It should be replaced sooner if:

• The 180-micron mesh is torn or punctured
• The mesh separates from the frame
• The structural frame becomes cracked or warped
• The handle or securing points are damaged
• The basket no longer seats securely inside the cleaner
• Water flow or suction performance does not improve after cleaning
• The inner filter can no longer be fitted securely
